Editorial Policy
Effective Date: June 2026 · creartivitymagazine.comCreARTivity Magazine is an independent digital publication dedicated to exploring the richness of arts, culture, creativity, and cultural heritage from both national and international perspectives. Our mission is to inform, educate, and inspire readers through thoughtful cultural storytelling, research-based articles, and coverage of artistic initiatives around the world.
This editorial policy outlines how we create, review, and publish content in order to maintain accuracy, transparency, cultural respect, and editorial integrity.
01 Editorial Independence
CreARTivity Magazine maintains full editorial independence. All editorial decisions are based on cultural relevance, educational value, artistic significance, and public interest. Partnerships, sponsorships, and collaborations do not influence the editorial viewpoints or analysis presented in our articles.
02 Accuracy and Research Standards
We aim to publish content that is accurate, well researched, and informative. Our editorial process includes consulting reliable sources, verifying historical and cultural information, referencing institutions, artists, and organizations when appropriate, and updating articles when new information becomes available. If factual errors are identified, they are corrected promptly.
03 Commissioning and original reporting
CreARTivity commissions work that is reported rather than assembled. The pieces we want, and the pieces we pay for, are built on something the writer did: an interview conducted by them, an exhibition or performance they attended, a place they went, an archive they opened, a practitioner they spent time with.
A commissioned piece is expected to contain at least one of the following, and preferably more than one.
An interview the writer conducted. Named, dated, and quoted accurately. Where a subject spoke in a language other than the one the piece is published in, the piece says so and says who translated.
First-hand coverage. The writer was at the exhibition, the concert, the festival, the rehearsal or the opening, and the piece shows it in detail that could not have come from a press release.
Original reporting. Facts established by the writer rather than repeated from elsewhere: what a venue actually charges, how many works are in a collection, whether a programme is still running, what a document says.
What we do not commission: pieces rewritten from other outlets’ coverage, round-ups assembled from search results, summaries of press material, and anything that could have been written without leaving the desk. Where a piece draws on another publication’s reporting, that publication is named and linked in the text.
Pitches should say what the reporting is: who the writer will speak to, what they will attend, and what they expect to establish that is not already published. Pitches are sent to admin@creartivitymagazine.com.
04 News, analysis and opinion
CreARTivity publishes three kinds of writing and keeps them visibly apart.
News and reporting sets out what happened, attributes contested facts to a source in the text, and does not argue a position. Arts en Brief dispatches are news.
Analysis and criticism makes a judgement and is expected to. A review, an essay or a critical piece argues something, and the argument is the point. These pieces are written so that the reader can tell where the reporting stops and the judgement starts.
Opinion is the personal view of the writer. Opinion pieces are labelled as such, carry a named byline, and are not presented as the position of the publication.
Headlines describe what the piece actually contains. We do not write a headline that the article does not support, and we do not withhold the substance of a story to manufacture a click.
05 Use of Artificial Intelligence
CreARTivity Magazine may use artificial intelligence tools as part of the editorial and production process. AI tools may assist with tasks such as topic exploration and idea generation, outlining and drafting content, language editing and grammar improvement, and research support.
Artificial intelligence is used only as an editorial support tool. All content is reviewed, edited, and approved by a human editor before publication to ensure accuracy, reliability, cultural sensitivity, editorial quality, and alignment with the magazine’s mission and standards. CreARTivity Magazine remains fully responsible for all published content.

10 Corrections
We correct errors of fact. If you find one, write to admin@creartivitymagazine.com with the article title and the error.
When we correct an article we add a dated note at the foot of the piece saying what changed. Where a correction changes the substance of a piece, the note appears at the top as well. Typographical fixes are made without a note.
We do not remove published articles on request, except where there is a legal obligation or a risk to someone’s safety.
Corrections are handled by the editor, Marie Juliane David.
11 Contributions and Submissions
CreARTivity Magazine may accept contributions from writers, artists, researchers, and cultural professionals. Submissions should align with our focus on arts, culture, creativity, cultural heritage, and cultural education. Submitted content may be edited for clarity, accuracy, and consistency with our editorial standards.
