Beginning October 29, Dominica’s World Creole Music Festival gathers performers from across the French- and English-speaking Caribbean for three days of zouk, bouyon, kadans, and other Creole sounds on the island known as the Nature Isle. Held since 1997 and drawing artists from Martinique, Guadeloupe, Haiti, Saint Lucia, and beyond, it pairs established stars with emerging young talent and stands as one of the region’s most important platforms for preserving and advancing Creole music.
