Arts en Brief
From October 17 to December 18, the fifth Lagos Biennial stages contemporary art across non-traditional sites throughout the Nigerian city, using Lagos itself as both subject and medium. Curated by Chinyere Obieze, Furen Dai, and Sam Hopkins, it brings artists into direct dialogue with local communities and everyday spaces. As Lagos cements its place among the world’s leading centers of contemporary African art, the biennial stands out for its thematic urgency and its commitment to civic engagement.
