This event has taken place. It was held online on 23 April 2026.

On Thursday, April 23, 2026, from 5:30 to 6:30 pm UK time, the British Museum held an online talk, with live subtitles by Stagetext, exploring the origins and global cultural impact of the samurai. The discussion examined how the samurai image has shaped international perceptions of Japanese history and warrior culture.

Corrected on 2 October 2026. An earlier version of this article described a free all-day event. The correct information is that it was an online talk lasting one hour, from 5:30 to 6:30 pm UK time. We removed the word free because the source we consulted does not state the price.
