This event has taken place. It was held from 23 to 26 September 2026.

From September 23 to 26, the Middlesex County Jazz Festival brought four free evening concerts to the New Jersey county, in Woodbridge, New Brunswick, Carteret, and Metuchen, honoring a state whose jazz roots run to Count Basie, Sarah Vaughan, and Wayne Shorter. The concerts featured a mix of high school jazz ensembles and professional acts, pairing contemporary performers with that deep legacy and welcoming families, students, and lifelong enthusiasts to a free public celebration of the music.

Corrected on 2 October 2026. An earlier version of this article said the festival was a single day on September 27 with art vendors. The 2026 festival ran from September 23 to 26 as four free evening concerts in Woodbridge, New Brunswick, Carteret, and Metuchen, and the claims about art vendors and specific jazz styles were removed because the source does not support them.
